Kentucky talking, women fighting and Cardinals whining

Today was media day for the Kentucky basketball team.  It was your typical media day where Cal down played the teams strengths and build up their weaknesses.  There was one thing of note that came out though today.

Willie Cauley-Stein stated that he was told by Demarcus Cousins and Eric Bledsoe that they wished they would had stayed at UK longer than just one year.  It is no secret that Cousins has had second thoughts of jumping to the NBA after one year but this is the first time I have heard Bledsoe voice this opinion.  There is not a college basketball fan out there that would not love to see guys stay longer and we all know how much it would help the college game.  I would love to see the NBA work with the NCAA to set up a system like the NCAA and MLB have.

I am one that doesn’t pay too much attention to hockey until we at least get to the Mid-Winter Classic

but this made me laugh.  It is not much of a fight but at least these guys are showing some heart.

I still say the best hockey fight I have ever seen is the 1992 fight between the Carmel and Lawrence high school teams.  If you ever get a chance make sure you ask Renfro about it.

So this happened last night.

By know you know my stance on things like this.  I F’ING LOVE THEM!  Baseball needs more of this not less.  Baseball needs more enthusiasm not less.  Many of the St. Louis Crybabies were outspoken about Puig and his lack of respect for the game.  Hey Cards, it’s your job to get him out not judge him.  We as fans will decide if it is over the top.  Maybe if you worried as much about getting him out then he would not have a chance to get a stand up triple when he didn’t start running until half way down the line.  Stop you whining and shut the hell up!  For the love of God you had the biggest showboat ever and you thought he was a Willie Mays.

Have you ever seen a guy pull up only so he could dive more than Edmonds?
