Monday night notes brought to you by Oatmeal, I mean Frosty

Airing first in 1969, Frosty the Snowman is the 2nd saddest of the Christmas specials.  I know that Karen and I were not the only kids that was crying when Frosty gets trapped in the greenhouse and melts away.  Good thing Santa came to save the day and teach Professor Hinkle a lesson.

Let’s start with the big story of the weekend around these parts.

The Cincinnati Bengals took a strangle hold on the 3rd seed in the AFC with a win over the Indianapolis Colts.  After another slow start by the Colts the game turned out to be very entertaining and generally well played by both teams.  The unfortunate thing is most people can only talk what a fool Jeff Triplette is and the NFL has no one to blame but themselves.  Why was this guy working such a big game?  The NFL should make him work every Jacksonville or Houston game until they get the balls to fire him.  As bad as Triplette and his crew was it was obvious who the best team on the field was on Sunday.  Even though both teams will be heading to the playoff they seem to be going in different directions.  Is anyone in Indy rushing out today to buy one of these.

The thing is I truly believe that the AFC is up for grabs this year.  Denver is the class of the conference but they are not unbeatable.  New England took a big hit Sunday with the loss of Rob Gronkowski and one has to expect all the injuries the Patriots have had this year will catch up to them.  Could this be the year my Bengals can win the first playoff game since i was in high school?  Well this boy can dream and we have three more exciting weeks of the NFL before the start of the playoffs.

I leave you with this gem.
