Best Christmas movies of all time

The Christmas season is in full swing here at the BDS compound and the ladies and I love to have the fireplace going and watch our favorite Christmas movies.  I look forward toward watching these great films every year and think everyone owes it to themselves to watch them if you never have.  In no particular order, here are my favorites and must sees.

Miracle on 34th Street – Now you must watch the original version from 1947. It is far superior to the 1994 remake.  The movie stars a 9 years of age Natalie Wood and has the real Santa Clause.

Elf – Is there sugar in syrup?  Then yes!

A Christmas Carol – Once again you have to go with an older version to really get a good one.  My favorite is the 1951 version staring Alastair Sim.

Home Alone – You have to love watching Joe Pesci being the one getting the abuse in this classic.

It’s a Wonderful Life – This movie was the one that was played on every channel multiple times a day until NBC bought it and now while not allow anyone to see it.  You have to do some planning now to see it but it’s worth the effort.

A Christmas Story – A story of a Northern Indiana boy and his childhood struggles.  There are a lot of movies on this list so get going!

White Christmas – This by far is my favorite Christmas movie and I bet I have watched it over 100 times.  Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye and everyones favorite aunt, Rosemary Clooney star in this must see.

National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation – Clark and the rest of the Griswolds show us how to have a classic family Christmas.  Shitters full!
