Hamilton’s running, Mastodons winning and Cal is tweaking

It has been no secret that the UK offense this year has been less than spectacular and needed to improve.  Well Coach Cal said that he made a slight tweak this week in practice that has “changed everything”.

I for one thinks it is a last ditch move to motivate a flailing team and no real tweak was made but what fun is that?

We at Backdoor Slider have come up with what the tweak might be.

Cal had assistant coach, Orlando “Hurricane” Antigua, show the boys some tricks he picked up from his time with the Globetrotters.

Can’t you see Cauley-Stein throwing the bucket of confetti onto the blue hairs in the first row of Rupp.  Hell, I really think if James Young had the ball with the string on it the turnover number would greatly improve.

Speaking of teams on the ropes.  The state of Indiana is trying to not get shut out of the NCAA tournament.  Tonight the Mastodons of IPFW try to win the Summit League Championship to punch their ticket.

After that it looks like the states hopes will land squarely on the shoulders of Indiana and Purdue to make a run and win the Big Ten.  Starting to look pretty slim.  Can we all say GO MASTODONS!

I know that spring training stats mean nothing but has anybody seen what Billy Hamilton has been doing in Arizona?  Here is the speedster’s stat line so far this spring.

Not bad.
