The rumor mill is churning out IU basketball rumors faster than I can type and any mortal fan can keep up with.  So this is our best guess of where the Indiana basketball program stands as of right now.

  • Tom Crean wants out and is finalizing a deal with both Indiana and his future employer to make a move to, ALABAMA.  Roll Tide.  I for one am hyped since I would get to watch Kentucky beat him down at least once a year for years to come.  I am being told by multiple sources all that is left is for the lawyers to do their lawyer things.
  • Thanks to Syracuse and the NCAA 2015 big man, Thomas Bryant, will be visiting Bloomington tomorrow for the Michigan St. game.  Seems odd for them to host a recruit if all of what we are hearing is true but right now with all the crazy stuff I have heard this one makes just as much since as anything else.  #WhyNot
  • Indiana is in the process of filling their soon to be opening.  The list is being narrowed down.  I have heard that Billy Donovan and Tony Bennett has both said no.  The Billy D rumor was interesting to me since Matt Jones on KSR today said that he had heard this was Billy D’s last year at Florida due to Florida being you know a football school that doesn’t really care about basketball.  The three names that are to be getting the most run is Brad Stevens, Shaka Smart and Gregg Marshall.  I still will be surprise if Stevens leaves the Celtics but as of now I have not heard he has said no.

So know you know what I know.  Enjoy the high school games tonight and the college games tomorrow.  This March is shaping up to be one for the ages.
