Slim Pickens and I have one question of Indiana basketball

Unknown-86I have a question for Indiana basketball in my best Slim Pickens voice.  What in the wide wide world of sports is going on here?

So let me get this straight.  Tom Crean is out recruiting.  Yogi takes up twitter and tells everyone thank you.  The first of the transfers is taking place and all of this while the Indianapolis media (Dakich, Sterling, Query and Schultz, Kravtz and the biggest of all Gregg Doyel) take turns telling us what is wrong with the IU program and what they need to do going forward.  Yes, I left out JMV because anyone with an IQ over 15 can’t listen to that show for more than 5 minutes.  And what do we hear from Fred Glass or Tom Crean???  Crickets.

Am I the only one that thinks it would be best for them to say something, anything?  If Crean is leaving then why is he out recruiting?  If he is staying then why the hell is IU not coming out and backing their coach?  You know every coach out there is telling Thon Maker and any other recruit that will listen Crean is on his last leg.

I don’t get it.  Maybe what we have been hearing this whole time is true and Crean is on his way out and the school is just waiting until things are in place to make an announcement.  Or maybe Crean is not going anywhere and Fred Glass doesn’t think he owes anyone a statement.  If the second is true then they are making a huge mistake.  All I am hearing on the radio is what is wrong with IU.  Over and over again!  Even this Kentucky fan is sick of the IU bashing, OK maybe not but come on, enough is enough.

If Crean is coming back for another run don’t you think the school would want to put out a statement to rally the troops heading into this important recruiting period?

You know I am rooting for Crean to return to the IU bench next year along with every other coach recruiting the state of Indiana.  I have been practicing my happy dance just in case.
