Joey Votto gets nuts, Robby Benson flashback and Brady in a kilt. That is called a Thursday at BDS.

While flipping through the channels last night I ran across one of the all time great sports movies that many of you have never seen.  The 1977 classic, One on One staring Robby Benson and the great G. D. Spradlin.  After a quick glance on IMDB I also realized that Robby Benson was in another sports film that you probably have not seen and worth a watch, Running Brave 1983.  When you find a few free moments between football games find, watch and thank me later.

OK, who is ready for some football?

Tonight the NFL kicks off with Patriots vs Steelers.  Now I usually do not root for the Pats but being a Bengals fanuntitled I need as many losses for Pittsburgh as I can get.  I am just amazed by New England and how nothing seems to rattle them.  Spygate? Deflategate? Trading star players? Nothing! Nothing seems to bother this team.  That is why I think the Pats should embrace being the most hated team in the NFL and go full wrestling heel.  They should bring in the Iron Sheik to mock the person singing the national anthem.  Belichick should lose the cut off hoodie and dress like Bobby “The Brain” Heenan tonight.  Brady should come out in warm ups wearing the Rowdy Roddy Piper kilt.  Hell, just have the team run out on the field while the Undertaker’s entrance music is ringing through the stadium.

Wow, what got into Joey last night?  I guess that is what happens when you couple months of losing with one of the worst strike zones of all time.
