We finally have arrived to Rebecca Black’s favorite day and what better way to kick off the weekend than some college football pump up videos.  With most of the games kicking off on Halloween the two schools I will be watching went all spooky black and white on us.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Kentucky Wildcats

It’s that time of year when my kids are starting to put together their Christmas lists and it got me thinking, what do I want from Santa.  I thought for a while and there is one thing the sports fan in me wants more than anything else.  For Rick Pitino to continue as the Head Basketball Coach at the sleaziest school in America.

It has been very enjoyable to watch the rest of the country rub the sleep from their eyes and realize what I have been seeing for years and the best part is Louisville fans no longer have any leg to stand on when it comes to trash talking.  Until the people take back their University from the 4-headed douchebag of Pitino, Petrino, Jurich, and Ramsey, they will continue to be the laughing stock of the country.

Now many of you might be asking who this Ramsey guy is and why is he being lumped into the same flaming bag of dog shit as the other three.  Well he is the University President.  The same University President who said he had not watched the ESPN OTL piece on his University, umm the boys at ESPN did their homework on this one, you might want to check it out.  He is also the same guy who thought it would be a good idea to dress him and his staff in stereotype Mexican garb for Halloween.

Let’s just say the Louisville community and one reporter for the Louisville Student Newspaper is not happy.

I love it, Louisville has become the sleaziest sports program in the country and it’s not even close.  When you look at the scandals to this point most of them involve money from boosters or kids getting some sort of improper benefit.  Bad yes, criminal no.  Not at Louisville.  What they did is not only bad but yes, very criminal.  Supplying Hookers and booze for underage recruits is, well, not above the law.  Have fun with your buddies Penn St. football and Baylor basketball.

I also love how delusion a segment of the Louisville fan base really is.  This is a portion of society that actually thinks Pitino and Petrino tells the truth and this whole thing is NO BIG DEAL.

But in the words of the great Lee Corso, not so fast my friend.  Not only is it a big deal but everyone, and I mean everyone has taken notice.  When your basketball program is being talked about on The View, Good Morning America, and The Today Show it’s not good.  When every national newspaper is writing columns about how in the world has Rick not been put on at least suspension, it’s a big deal.  And my favorite so far is when the Tony Kornheiser Show plays jingles mocking you then yes, the shit has hit the fan.

In typical Kornheisr fashion, this is awesome.

So there you have it Santa, I never want this to end.  I want to be able to make fun of Louisville forever.  Because if the Louisville community pull their heads out of their ass long enough to realize their school and program are bigger than the 4-headed douchebag then they might go back to being a respected, winning program.

Doesn’t it seem like the NBA season just ended a few weeks ago?  No matter if you are ready for it or not guess what?plgWell, I have to admit that I have not been a huge follower of the pro game since the retirement of Indiana Pacer great, Reggie Miller.  Once the criminals formally known as the Indiana Pacers screwed Reggie out of his last chance of a ring I just haven’t been invested.  But you know what, it’s a new season and there are a lot of players with local ties or played college ball at area schools. I pledge to keep you up to date with those players as long as I can stand it.  (so probably a week or two)

Here are how player’s of interest fared in last night’s games.

I don’t know why but I am not as excited about the start of college basketball season as I usually am.  It might be the fact that I’m still engrossed in football season.  Maybe it is still the hang over from last years Final Four disappointment.  Maybe it’s just all the hookers have me side tracked?  What ever the reason I have been basketball sluggish but this video from Kentucky Wildcats TV got the juices flowing a bit.

Derek Jeter (clap, clap, clap clap clap)

UntitledOnce again Derek Jeter proves why he is the athlete everyone is most envious of.  News has come out that Jeter is set to marry the 25 year old smoking hot Hannah Davis.   Not only does she have eyes (and other things) that are hypnotic, but she also has a freaking talking horse.

Derek, even Red Sox Nation know that you are the man.

We are 8 weeks in and 22 teams are left in the hunt for the College Football Playoff.  Last week we saw both Texas A&M and Cal lose costing themselves a chance to make the Final Four.  Utah and Florida St. also lost but as you will see below are regrouping to fight another day.  Here is who is left and what they face this week.

Not a sexy line-up but we do have two elimination games.  Notre Dame @ Temple and UNC @ Pitt.  Other games that could be interesting are Ok St @ Texas Tech, Houston vs Vandy, Florida vs Georgia, and Duke vs Miami.

There are still 7 weeks of football left but as it stands right now here is how it is shaking out.

I kid #iubb a lot but I’m happy to see Hoosier Hysteria tonight because it will start the college basketball discussion around these parts.  Here is a very cool video by IUAthletics that lead up to tonights festivities.
