SirusXM Song of the Day

Posted: July 22, 2016 by jmklee in Uncategorized

cashChannel:  59 Willie’s Roadhouse

Artist :  Johnny Cash

Song:   (Ghost) Riders In The Sky

Written By:  Stan Jones (1948)

Johnny Cash made a recording of the song in 1979 for his album, Silver, and peaked at No.2 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart. Johnny Cash also performs the song in his guest appearance on The Muppet Show in 1980.  Riders In The Sky has been covered countless times over the years and in many circles is thought of as the best written Western song of all time.  Johnny does it justice.

2016-07-20_ACS_Dykstra-650x300When it comes to getting celebrities and athletes to open up during interviews I don’t think there are two better interviewers than Adam Corolla and Howard Stern.  Today the Ace Man had on former baseball All-Star Lenny Dykstra who was promoting his new book and it was podcast gold.  If you are a baseball nerd of the 80’s and 90’s like I am you need to take a listen.

Dykstra doesn’t shy away from his checkered past during the interview as he touched on subjects like his time in prison and his performing enhancing drug use.  Hell, Lenny even talks about who has the biggest cock in baseball.  Trust me, it is one of the funniest interviews I have heard in a long time and my co-workers were staring at me as I was laughing out loud at my desk today.

Be warned that this is NSFW and not suitable for young ears.

SiriusXM Song of the Day

Everyday I leave work on the north side of Indianapolis and fight my way through the sea of stupid commuters on my way back to God’s country on the south side of town.  The only thing that keeps me from loosing my mind and ramming into the other cars is flipping though my SiriusXM radio.  I start at the begging of the dial and wander though the channels and just see want comes my way.

I always seem to find a song that is my favorite of the drive.  Somedays it is a guilty pleasure or a song of my childhood.  Some days it is a classic from the 60’s or 70’s but there is always one and today was no different.

Today’s song of the commute was one that I rarely hear but thoroughly enjoy.

Who Wore It Better? Butthead or Pitino?

In a bold move Ricky P showed up to the Peach Jam rocking the black shoes with white socks.  It was very Butthead of him.

So you decide.  Who wore it better?
