#CollegeFootballPlayoff – This week’s games and where we stand

Anyone else already getting giddy for college football this week?  I mean how in the hell does anyone expect me to work with beer, turkey, and the best college football week of the year staring me dead in the eye.

Not only do we have some great games to help us sort out the playoff situation but this week is rivalry week and those games always tend to be as juicy as a deep fried bird.

Here are this week’s games that matter but honesty, with all the in-state matchups there are so many games that matter to the fans of college football around the country.

Let’s take a look at where the College Football Playoff stands.

Spot #1   Alabama – The Tide is rolling and no one can stop them.  They are in even if they stumble once down the stretch.

Spot #2 Clemson – If the Tigers can take care of business against good but not great teams they will be back in the playoffs.

Spot #3 Michigan or Ohio St. – The winner of this game looks to be in.  If it is Michigan they will have to play in the BIG10 championship game but if OSU wins and Penn St. wins the Buckeyes will be able to sit at home nice and toasty knowing they will be in the Final 4.

Spot #4 Conference Champ – The committee has always valued winning your conference so why would they stop know.  The PAC12, BIG12, and BIG10 champ might not be listed above and this is where they would fit in.  Teams like Wisconsin, Penn St., Oklahoma, and Washington have the best shot to fill this final spot.
