2017 NCAA Player Pool Cheat Sheet

Posted: March 13, 2017 by jmklee in Uncategorized

The brackets are out and while it is fun to attempt to pick the perfect bracket I have a different favorite pool to get into this time of year.  Every year myself and 9 other guys get together and draft a NCAA player pool.  The rules are simple.

  • Snake draft
  • Choose players not teams
  • Add up the points the your player’s score
  • High score at the end of the tournament wins

Simple enough.  Now it might me a daunting task to comb through every team to find the best players (trust me it is) but don’t worry, BDS has you covered.

Happy Selection Sunday Eve!!!!!  Only one more sleep till the brackets are released and tonight we hang our brackets by the fire in hopes that Dickey V fills them with the first round upsets.

So today you should gather the family, make basketball cookies and enjoy the 14 conference championship games on the slate today.  The American East starts us out this morning at 11am and there are games all day long with the Big West capping it off at 11:30pm in the east.  Enjoy!

If you were not one of the 3,000 packed in the gym or the 1,500 that watched on-line then you missed a good one.  The Hanover Panthers won in dramatic last second fashion once again.

The Panthers were down 11 at the half but clawed their way back in the a wild second half which had many runs by both teams.  Here is the full game but do yourself a favor and at least watch the last 5 minutes starting at the 1:45:00 mark.

Hanover moves on to face Augustana (Ill.) tonight at 7pm.  You can watch live by clicking the link below.

Bob Knight Drops Bomb on #iubb

Bob Knight appeared on the Dan Patrick show this morning and once again proves he is the bitter old man standing in his front yard yelling at clouds.

Last night four new conference champions were crowned giving them an automatic bid to March Madness.

Mount St. Mary’s, Gonzaga, South Dakota St. and for the first time ever the Northern Kentucky Norse.  NKU not only made their first tournament but this was the first year they were eligible to be in the tournament.  See Northwestern, not really that hard now is it?

Tonight we only have one title game on the schedule with Bucknell taking on Lehigh for the Patriot League title.
