College Basketball + Twitter = Straight AWESOME!!! #iubb #BoilerUp #BBN

It is not often college basketball is the lead story in late May but yesterday was one of those days. First we had Caleb Swanigan taking swipes at IU and the Twitter war that followed.  Then we had BBN staying up way past their bed times to see if Hamidou Diallo was staying in the draft or coming back to Lexington.

With both cases one thing was consistent in how it was best to consume both stories, Twitter.  I do love me some Twitter and yesterday didn’t disappoint.  Kudos to the Indiana, Purdue and Kentucky fan bases that didn’t disappoint.

Since the Swanigan episode happened much earlier in the day yesterday many of you already know story so I will not bore you with the details.  But if you didn’t get a chance to follow Scott Horner has a great recap on IndyStar.com that includes a Tweet from yours truly.  Click here to check it out.

And that brings us to what myself and BBN was up doing last night.  Hamidou Diallo had until midnight to pull his name out of the NBA draft and return to Kentucky and guess what, he used every bit of that shot clock to announce his decision.  As the night drug on Twitter got better.

Even UK’s coaching staff joined in the fun

Yes, at times we got impatient

But we waited

and got sleepy

but around a quarter till midnight new came out that Diallo was coming back and BBN was like

and then we went to bed. What a great college basketball day.
